Her feast day varies between May and June, at the time of Pentecost. Also known as the "Blanca Paloma" or the "Queen of the Marshes", she is a Marian devotion venerated in her sanctuary in the village of El Rocío, in Almonte, province of Huelva, Andalusia, Spain. In ancient times, there are records that recognise that the Virgen del Rocío was paraded when the dry season came to an end.
