At Com-forsa, sustainability is something we have been concerned about for years. We live in a world that is increasingly aware of the environment and sustainability. That’s why we believe at Com-forsa that beauty and fashion do not have to be at odds with sustainability.
We are increasingly aware of the responsibility and respect we owe to our planet, so we analyse how to make our jewellery sustainable, reduce our carbon emissions and work on the circularity of our raw materials with all that this means.
Some time ago we told you about our 100% recycled sterling silver 925 line, since then all our sterling silver and gold pieces have a high component of recycled material making possible the circularity of the raw material.
Sterling silver 925 and gold are unique materials that can be infinitely recycled without losing their composition.
RECYCLED METALS
Sterling silver 925 is the most widely used metal in our company to create all types of findings and finished products, so it is important to us and our sustainability plan that at least a percentage of this metal is recycled. By using recycled silver and gold, we reduce the demand for new resources, thereby reducing deforestation, water pollution and gas emissions.
This also contributes to the circularity of the raw material, thus giving a new life to the metal.
We aim to use 100% recycled sterling silver in all our products by 2030.
WASTE MANAGEMENT
Both in our own workshop and in the external workshops and factories we work with, we prioritise giving a second life to the waste generated in the production of our products. Thanks to these practices, we reduce the impact on the environment.
The sustainability plan at Com-forsa
Our sustainability plan is based on reducing CO2 emissions, both from our production and from our premises, which is why we use renewable energy.
In addition to this commitment to sustainability, we have also reduced the Co2 content of our shipments.
Collaborating with two of the largest carriers in this country and the world DHL and CORREOS / ROYAL MAIL, who share our vision of a greener future.
Together, we work to reduce the carbon footprint of our deliveries, with the programmes:
CORREOS / ROYAL MAIL ECO
This will optimise routes to make deliveries more efficient, use eco-friendly transport in such a way as to reduce emissions and noise emissions in cities. They will apply alternative fuels and offset emissions by investing in reforestation and renewable energy projects.
Together, we are working to significantly reduce the carbon footprint of our deliveries, by focusing on sustainable and environmentally friendly practices that minimise the environmental impact of transport.
Thanks to the cooperation with Correos and DHL, we can continue to offer our customers timely and efficient deliveries.
